Did you know that we all possess both masculine and feminine aspects? Each side holds significance and plays a role within us, offering diverse resources to achieve what is necessary in our lives and on Earth.

The qualities of the feminine are:

  • Intuition

  • Nurturer

  • Vulnerability

  • Receiving

  • Sensitivity

  • Adaptability

  • Creativity

  • Empathy

  • Compassion

  • Trust

  • Openness

  • Inclusion

  • Sensuality

The masculine on the other hand is:

  • Logic

  • Focus

  • Freedom

  • Giving

  • Strength

  • Assertiveness

  • Confidence

  • Order

  • Passion

  • Integrity

  • Clarity

  • Independence

  • Action

To live fulfilling lives and feel whole, it's essential to embody a range of traits. In recent times, many women have embraced more masculine energy. The feminist movement has been a potent force in empowering us and restoring balance in society. Despite this progress, many of us carry deep wounds from the historical suppression of feminine power. Unfortunately, feminine qualities have sometimes been devalued, leading us to suppress these aspects and overemphasise our masculine traits, creating an internal imbalance.

Signs of Feminine Wounds

  • Abusive and dysfunctional relationships

  • Inability to receive pleasure.

  • Fear of being vulnerable.

  • Self-blame, guilt, and shame

  • Creative blocks.

  • Physical imbalances in a reproductive system/organs including diseases such as PCOS, endometriosis, infertility, period pain, and painful sex. I am not saying that these physical conditions occur primarily because you have a feminine wound, but you will find that by healing some of the above, will help shift these conditions as well.

Our feminine can also manifest in an imbalanced way including being overly dependent, needy, unfocused, irrational, weak and manipulative.

Why we need to heal?

When we carry these wounds, they can manifest in our lives through physical conditions or imbalanced relationships and patterns.

A significant expression of a feminine wound is the struggle to receive. Without the ability to receive, we become empty vessels unable to create and nurture. Opening up to receiving also allows the universe's energy to flow through us, enabling us to manifest our best lives.

How to heal?

  • Set aside some time each day just for yourself, a special moment dedicated to you. It could be as short as 15 minutes, creating a space for self-care.

  • Pay attention to your thoughts. Are they filled with love and positivity, or do they lean towards criticism and self-doubt?

  • Embrace creativity through activities like painting, dancing, drawing, singing, or cooking. Connecting with our creative side helps unlock our femininity.

  • Tune into your body through yoga, movement, or simply lying down and being present in your body.

  • Practice being present, as femininity is not about taking charge but about embracing flow. Observe and respond to the energy's movement.

  • Step outside at night and stand beneath the moon. The moon symbolizes our feminine energy, holding magick, and healing powers.

  • Utilise Crystals: Moonstone, rose quartz, chrysocolla, and rhodochrosite are recommended for this purpose.

  • Tune into your emotions. Write in a journal, watch something emotional, or read a touching book. Let your feelings flow freely.

Finally, working with affirmations can be a potent method to nurture and harmonise our feminine energy. Here are some affirmations that I find beneficial:

I am a beautiful, powerful, expression of feminine energy.

I allow myself to give and receive pleasure.

I honour myself in all stages. I accept myself in all phases.

I surrender to the flow.

I receive with grace

It is safe to feel. I allow my emotions to flow.

I honour my intuition and the guidance it brings.

I take pleasure in the creative process
