Hey There

I'm Tanya, and my passion is empowering others to unlock their fullest potential. My journey has introduced me to transformative modalities like naturopathy and Reiki, which have had a profound impact on my own health and well-being. Inspired by the positive changes I’ve experienced, I now dedicate myself to helping others as a holistic health practitioner.

A glimpse into my story

I initially studied Arts and Education at Monash University, which led me into a rewarding career in teaching, alongside pursuing a passion for singing and performing. However, ongoing health struggles eventually shifted my focus and caused me to reassess my path. As a teenager, I was drawn to spirituality, influenced by teachers like Louise Hay and Wayne Dyer, and supported by my aunt, a Reiki master. It was through these influences that Reiki and spirituality became a central part of my own healing journey.

In my mid-20s, I became a Reiki Master-Teacher and began offering energy healing while continuing my part-time teaching career. As I worked with Reiki clients, I noticed recurring health issues that I felt could be better addressed through naturopathic treatments. Growing up, my family had great success using naturopathy to manage physical health concerns, which sparked my early interest in the field. My uncle, who became a naturopath when I was a teenager, also inspired me with his passion for the naturopathic approach. Listening to him share his knowledge further deepened my curiosity about holistic healing. Over time, as I evolved in my Reiki practice, I realised I wanted to offer a more comprehensive approach to healing, which ultimately led me to pursue a degree in naturopathy.

Studying for a second degree was a far greater challenge as this time around I juggled motherhood, running a household, work, and my studies. Yet, my passion for healing kept me focused and determined. Naturopathy has since brought me a profound sense of peace and fulfilment, and today, my greatest joy comes from guiding others on their own healing journeys, helping them find balance and wellness along the way.

My Health Journey and Its Impact on My Practice

My own journey with health challenges has profoundly shaped my career as a naturopath. These experiences taught me the value of holistic, individualised approaches to wellness. Through diet, lifestyle changes, and natural remedies, I was able to restore my health and recognise that true healing extends beyond the physical—it involves addressing emotional, mental, and spiritual imbalances, all of which are essential for long-term wellbeing.

Naturopathy has been pivotal in helping me manage my sensitivities. Conventional treatments often left me feeling worse, while natural remedies required a more tailored, patient-focused approach. Mainstream medicine struggled to make sense of my range of symptoms, and I was often labelled with broad diagnoses such as IBS, anxiety, depression, fibromyalgia, or simply “highly sensitive.” These treatments rarely addressed the root causes of my symptoms, and finding practitioners—both conventional and complementary—who truly understood the ways my body presented was a challenge.

I am grateful that in recent years I have been able to identify the root of many of my health issues: a diagnosis of Chronic Lyme Disease. While deep healing is still a work in progress—as anyone with a chronic health condition knows—it has reinforced the importance of approaching wellness as a measured, thoughtful journey rather than a race.

These experiences fuel my passion for helping others find personalised solutions to their health challenges. Having heightened sensitivities myself, I’ve developed a unique ability to connect with individuals facing similar struggles. I see this sensitivity as a strength, allowing me to offer deeply personalised care and creative, patient-centered solutions tailored to each person’s unique healing process.

For sensitive individuals, I often adopt a “less is more” approach, focusing on gently tonifying the body and supporting its natural ability to restore balance. Healing is not about quick fixes, but sustainable, gradual improvements. As a practitioner, I combine a range of modalities to provide a holistic approach to healing, working collaboratively with patients to help them feel balanced, supported, and well again.
